500 Free- Allie Muha got the meet started with a 5:30.85. The
first swim is sometimes the toughest, especially if it’s a mid distance race.
Allie has the 400 IM tomorrow and the 200 Fly Sunday, so there will be a few
more opportunities to go fast!
200 IM- Laura Stephens dropped to a season best time of
2:17.30 from lane 8. Laura’s got a big 100 Breast tomorrow and should be all
ready to go.
50 Free- Times are as follows:
Britt Rehrig – 24.08 (Just .01 off of her lifetime best)
Carley Nitchie- 24.92
Kristen Capretti- 25.31
Kayla Schnars -25.89
Kaitlyn Druby- 25.96 (First time under 26!)
Carley Nitchie- 24.92

Kayla Schnars -25.89
Kaitlyn Druby- 25.96 (First time under 26!)
Britt is seeded 4th going into tonight. Check it
out on the live stream (6:36pm according to the tentative timeline.) She’ll be
in heat 2, lane 6. The timeline may or may not be accurate due to the award
ceremonies. (We’ll know more about that after this session)
Team favorite .Wegmans for lunch. Anywhere you can go and
get sushi, Italian, Chinese, or traditional American cuisine under the same
roof for a moderate price is ideal to me! A few of the women spent the break
with their folks that have traveled in for the meet. (Another favorite part of
the meet for me is that swimmers get to spend some quality time with their
families during some breaks).
We ended up back at the hotel with plenty of time for the
women to rest up for finals tonight. On the agenda for “The Haven” this evening:
200 Free Relay- 6:00pm- heat 1, lane 3
50 Free- Britt Rehrig- Stated above
400 Medley Relay- heat 1, lane 3.
Time to keep the fast swimming going! GO HAVEN
