We started off the session with some great 200 medley relay swims ... our A relay was neck and neck with CAL u, just coming up short, but securing a NCAA 'b' cut!! Smokin' fast! Erin & Allie swam great 400 IM's with Erin dropping some serious time.
Britt Rehrig would have been the top seed in the 100 fly after prelims, but scratched to focus on the 100 breast. Our other flyers, Durham & Taylor dropped a little bit of time while Mutschler & Druby added just a few tenths.
200 free wasn't a great final night in terms of time drops ... we added just a few tenths on each, but was not disappointed with the effort!
the breaststroke continues to be a very strong event for us ... with 5 second swims. All of them were right on their morning times. Britt Rehrig swam her 2nd fastest ever with a time that would have qualified her for NCAA's last year.
backstroke had just 2 finalists with Carley dropped a few tenths from her morning swim and Kayla adding just a little bit. The 800 free relay lead off with Abby giving it another run at the PSAC cut time. Almost got it ...
Tomorrow is another great day of racing ... 2 sessions that usually run pretty quick. 100 free, 200 back, breast and fly ... along with the 1650 (not in that order). We are going to toss in a few time trials with some people who had some academic conflicts tomorrow.
Team dinner was a Romeo's take out ... GREAT food, but horrible service and our order wasn't quite ready on time (in fact we waited an extra 25 minutes!) Tomorrow's lunch is the world famous (in Indiana, PA) 6th street deli, where they feature 2 foot long subs.
We also continue to have the most supportive, largest group of, parents in the stands ... although, they don't enjoy the long waits for the blog updates, they do a great job cheering on our women.
Finally, special shout out to our Asst AD, Danielle Barney, who took in this morning's swim session while taking a little break from watching our volleyball team compete in the NCAA regional championships.
