Deep in the Heart of Texas

Travel Day was long but successful.  Started around 11amish departing Lock Haven .... lunch stop at Red Robin.  Made it to the Harrisburg Airport with about 90 minutes before departure.  Got checked in and through security and had 60 minutes to spare.  Found out the flight at our gate before us was headed to DC was canceled (brings me back to Kim and I's honeymoon ... but that's a different post for a different day).  We switched gates and boarded the plane without issue.  Relatively smooth flight all things considered (remember our monsoon?) landed in Chicago a little early, turns out too early ... we waited nearly 50 minutes for our gate to open up, and when it did we hustled up to our next gate.  We had no time so as we ran past the pizza place and a dude carrying a lot of mcdonalds we all commented on how nice food would be ...

another smooth flight without too many issues ... landed and held our breath waiting for our luggage to come through.  Success.  We boarded the overly crowded shuttle bus to the Alamo rental car ... met and overly friendly worker who pointed us in the right direction.  Terray picked the shinest of the 3 mini vans, turns out it had a mere 104 miles on it and reeked of new car smell.  We stopped a What-A-Burger ... love that place, the women had either a chicken sandwich or a burger, not too bad.  30 minutes later we found our hotel, got checked in (found out that making reservations back in September was a good thing, as our hotel - 7 miles from the pool, is booked through March 2012.

Unpacked and now fighting heavy eyelids as I finish this post.  We are doing breakfast 9amish, and heading over to the pool at 9:45am, going to check in, and get a swim in before adventure/exploration day.
