Meet at Millersville 11/9/2013

Tough loss at Millersville 112-92, but seeing a lot of good things leading into our mid-season rest meet in less than 2 weeks!

The 400 medley relay of Kayla Schnars, Kaitlyn Druby, Kristin Taylor, and Kristen Capretti took 1st with a time of 4:14.36.

Emily Shultz and Meghan Kuhn both had solid swims in the 1000 free, taking 3rd and 4th place and scoring some valuable dual meet points!

Danielle Parowski won the 200 free and put her name on the All Time Top 5 list along the way with a time of 1:58.63.

Carley Nitchie had a close race, getting out touched in the 50 free with a time of 25.91.

Allie Muha and Kristin Taylor had season best 200 IMs and taking 2nd and 3rd respectively. The girls came right back and this time Kristin Taylor took 1st and Allie 3rd in the 100 Fly. BIG finish by Muha in this one,  and she showed major guts in finishing strong.

Danielle Parowski and Kristen Capretti had a great 100 freestyle, finishing 1st and 2nd with times of 55.71 and 57.11.

Kayla Schnars was first in the 100 back with a time of 1:02.95.

Danielle was facing a tough swim on short rest in the 500 and came up with the 2nd place finish in a time of 5:32.86. Allie Muha had her first 500 of the season and finished 4th with a 5:45.63. Liz Barney took 5th and dropped 8 seconds to finish 5:49.78.

In the 100 breast Kaitlyn Druby went a 1:14.30, and Amanda Thomas and Ciara Conklin both finished with season best times of 1:16.70 and 1:17.69.

The 400 free finished out with some strong swims. Looking forward to seeing it at IUP!

Nino’s Pizza for lunch. GREAT food…small restaurant. We were told that we could have the whole back room, lucky for us we went at 2:45pm between lunch and dinner, because our Haven traveling party took the whole place! It continues to amaze me and fill me up with pride to know how well traveled our team parents are. You are all truly a part of what makes Haven Swimming great and I know our swimmers appreciate it!
11 days until we pull out of the circle of The Haven for the IUP Invite. Looking forward to a great meet and a great and well deserved rest phase for the women.

For those keeping track at home, bus ride movies in this order: Bridesmaids, Footloose (the new one), and ELF…Its never too early.

Thanks again to all Haven Swimming supporters!

GO HAVEN!
